Great news for expatriates living in Saudi Arabia! The Saudi government is set to resume the issuance of Family Visit Visas from June 16, 2025, after a temporary suspension during the Hajj season.

📆 Visa Resumption Date
According to the official notice issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), all short-term visas including Family Visit Visas were suspended from April 13, 2025, for citizens of 14 countries due to Hajj preparations. Now, visas will reopen from June 16, 2025, with the possibility of applying for multiple-entry options again.

🌍 Affected Countries During Suspension
The suspension affected citizens of:
Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Sudan, Nigeria, Morocco, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, and Ethiopia.

🛂 Current Visa Conditions
  • Visa applications were paused between April 13 and June 6, 2025.
  • Only 30-day single-entry visit visas were available during this period.
  • Multiple-entry visit visas are expected to be available again from June 16, 2025.
  • People with valid visas were instructed to enter Saudi Arabia before April 13 and exit by April 29, 2025.
